'Blue' is directed by Anthony D'Souza, and he has come up with a simple theme but then it is his narration and presentation that has taken the film to a different league.
Story:
An action packed extravaganza, the story is set on the backdrop of Bahamas and here lives Sagar (sanjay) who is a simple and humble guy. He has got a close friend in Aarav (Akshay) and this man is a hardcore businessman, highly ambitious and doesn't stop at anything to get what he wants. The story takes a turn when Sameer (zayed), brother of Sagar comes escaping from Bangkok. Apparently, he has messed up with the mafia don Gulshan (rahul dev) in Bangkok and now he is running for his life. However, the mafia guys reach Bahamas as well and Sagar has to intervene to save his brother's life. However, he has a problem in completing the task assigned as he feels completely responsible for the death of his father. What is that task? What role does Aarav have in this? Will Sagar save Sam from the deadly goons? All this forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
Sanjay Dutt was superb, Akshay was awesome, Zayed was competent and proved his mettle, Rahul was riveting, Kabir Bedi was not used to his potential. Lara Dutta looked lusciously beautiful and she makes breathing hard, Katrina was brief and did her bit to sizzle. The others contributed effectively and added value to the film.
Music:
'Blue' is scored by the great Oscar winners composer A.R.Rahman, and background score and music was mesmerizing and suited the moods perfectly.
