'Teen Patti' is directed by Leena Yadav. And he has come up with a known tale and though the presentation was good, it is the narrative that was a letdown.
Story:
The story is about the low profile but highly intelligent professor Venkat (Amitabh) and he derives a wonderful theory of probability and randomness. This is notified to his colleague professor Shantanu (madhavan) who is quite an ambitious man. He decides to persuade Venkat into trying this in the real world and the best place for that would be the gambling dens. So the professors along with a team of bright students enter the dens and start their game on the 'Teen Patti'. But what starts as an experiment soon turns into an addiction and that too a lethal one. And what happens hereafter is to be seen on the screen.
Performance:
Sir Ben Kingsley was at his best once again and so was Amitabh Bachchan, both shared excellent scenes. Madhavan was fabulous in the grey role, Raima was ravishing, Shraddha was seductive, Vaibhav was intense, Saira was standard, the other big stars did their cameos effectively.
Music:
'Teen Patti' music is composed by Salim Merchant and Sulaiman Merchant. And for this movie background score was neat and songs were not that impressive except for one number.
