'Tum Milo Toh Sahi' is directed by Kabir Sadanand. And he has come up with concept and he has proved his mettle with his narrative and presentation.
Story:
The first one is about the Sunil Shetty works for an international Coffee Chain Blue Bell and moves from his pigeon hole existence to a spacious flat with his wife Vidya Malavade and kid who is suffering from some medical problem. The couple's romance has apparently begun in Lucky Cafe but now the relationship is stressed, as his Company expects him to handle the transaction of the Lucky Cafe and he makes it appear simple as Vidya is close friends with Dimple Kapadia the owner. Dimple Kapadia who plays the Parsi woman running the cafe but finds herself handicapped when Sunil Shetty with his boss threaten to seize the property. It is then Nana Patekar enters as Subramanyam an old fashioned senior citizen who's been chucked out of the Blue Bell Company and helps Dimple with the court problems.
The final track the most uninteresting amongst the three is between Anjana Sukhani and Rehan Khan, they are instrumental in converting the cafe into heritage site and help Dimple in bagging emotional support from outsiders. The commentary is actually on the cold, ruthless fast changing Mumbai society, the characters from the three stories who often meet at the cafe tell a different story, about marriage of the soul, mind and heart and little about the coffee. What happens hereafter is to be seen on the screen.
Performance:
Nana Patekar and Dimple Kapadia are the soul of the movie, the former plays the Tamilian's role to perfection but it is clearly evident that Nana just couldn't get the Tamil accent right. Sunil Shetty excellent screen chemistry.
Vidha Malavade hardly smiles, she plays the perplexed housewife. Rehan Khan also well played. Anjana Sukhani was average, Mohnish Bahl was acceptable, remaining were did their perpefomence okey.
Music:
'Tum Milo Toh Sahi' music is composed by Sandesh Shandilya. And movie background score was brilliant and only the songs were average.
Verdict: Average | |
