'Vaada Raha I Promise' directed hy Samir Karnik, and had come up with an emotional subject and though the presentation was good, the narrative fell back in few key instances.
Story:
A tale of hope, the story begins with the perfect life of Duke Chawla (bobby) who is a successful doctor and a responsible man. He also has a girlfriend Nalini (kangana) and soon they decide to get married as well. However, fate strikes a cruel blow when Duke meets up with an accident and that leaves him paralysed. To add to it, Nalini abandons him at the hospital and Duke is totally frustrated at his fate and life. But things take a turn with the arrival of the boy Roshan (dwij) who is a patient himself. Though Duke gets very repulsive about the boy in the first few times, it is later that he develops a strong bonding with the kid. In no time, the words of Roshan bring about the will in Duke and he begins his journey towards recovery. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
Kangana Ranaut was underutilized, Dwij was nice, Mohnish Behl was elegant, Sharat Saxena was not used to his fullest, Prateeksha was impressive, Vivek Shauq was not worked on, the real show stealer however was Bobby Deol who gave a scintillating performance and that kind of keeps the film in grip.
Music:
'Vaada Raha I Promise' Music scored by Monty Sharma, Toshi Sabri, Sharib Sabri. And it is a letdown, c failed to impress.
